About the episode
"The Slow Method" is the pilot episode of The Lite Blues series, and is the thirtieth short production by Wingless Films. It introduces Boyd Rogers and Julian Seager as two vigilantes known as the "Blues", and co-stars Tom Menary as their victim. The episode was directed and shot by Jim Elton, with sound by Julian Kemp and titles by David Burbury. The short was shot in and around Dot's Pantry, Torquay, with the assistance of John Tomkins. Bryce Dumont provided additional sound mastering.
The first draft of the script was written on 9th April, 2012, with a shooting script completed by 26th June, 2012. Filming took place on 4th July, 2012, in the photographic studio in Dot's Pantry, Torquay. Photos were also taken for initial promotional material. The edit began on 7th July, and a rough cut was completed on the 9th.
