About the film
A Deadly Interview is a 2011 short from Metal Snare Production, starring Bill Sheikh alongside Tom Menary and Jim Elton of Wingless Films. The short features two assassins who use social media to keep their boss updated on their kills, and the interview turns deadly when he finds the flaws of one set of social networks to be unforgivable.
The project was created in response to a film-making competition sponsored by the social website Loccit, and required the use of the tagline, "Loccit keeps your memories safe forever" in the film. Wingless Films submitted an edited version of Camera Obscura to the same contest.
The film was shot in and around Plymouth University. The interview room was later used as the central setting for How to Lose Friends & Assassinate People, also featuring Bill. Original music was composed by Tom, with Number Seven represented by a variation on the theme from Captive (2010). The film was released on 31st October, 2011, and uploaded to the Metal Snare Production YouTube channel on 7th February, 2012; a day after the release of Afterdeath and Robin Manford: Master of the Universe.
